![]() The human brain will reject under-stimulating information. At one extreme is a visual experience that is so bland that the viewer is not engaged. When something is not harmonious, it’s either boring or chaotic. It engages the viewer and it creates an inner sense of order, a balance in the visual experience. In visual experiences, harmony is something that is pleasing to the eye. Harmony can be defined as a pleasing arrangement of parts, whether it be music, poetry, color, or even an ice cream sundae. There are also definitions (or categories) of colours based on the colour wheel: primary colour, secondary colour and tertiary colour. In the visual arts, colour theory is a body of practical guidance to colour mixing and the visual effects of a specific colour combination. There are a lot of different colour theories, here I will be researching how colour effects peoples emotions within moving image to show how I could use colour to help with my moving image.
